Jackie Chan now officially ... a Datuk


The Hong Kong action star, Jackie Chan, along with 356 other people, on Sunday, February 1st, 2015 yesterday, received the award from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Alhaj in Malaysia. The award was given to coincide with the Federal Territory Day. In such a state occasion, Jackie Chan received the gift of the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (PMW), and officially as a Datuk.


The furor also occur among the guests present at the name Chan Kong-sang was called to receive the award. Jackie Chan, who attended the event wearing a black jacket, plus a cap and sunglasses, stand up and immediately stepped to the podium. Some guests also was surprised to see the figure, muttering, "Is it Jackie Chan?". The shock of the guests who attended obviously very reasonable, considering Jackie Chan is not present at the event held rehearsals were done the day before.


Jackie Chan has now entered the age of 60 years was indeed born with the name Chan Kong-sang. He is also known as Seng Lung (Cantonese) or Chen Long (Mandarin). Besides his profession as an actor, Jackie Chan also has another profession, namely as a director, stuntman, producer, screenwriter, and singer.

Awards and medals given to coincide with the
Federal Territory Day started in 2008 aims to honor those who have contributed to the development of the federal territory in Malaysia.
