10 Best Players in the FIFA World Cup 2014

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil will feature over 730 football players from 32 different countries. During the 2014 FIFA World Cup we will be able to experience top notch football, by top notch players. There is a lot of talent to chose from, however there are a few of them that are above everyone. These are the top 10 best players that will play in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup.

10. Thomas Muller
Muller is a top ten player for various reasons, but mostly his speed and agility stand out as his main qualities. Also he has matured to be one of the leaders of the German team, and has tons of experience playing at the highest level (Champions League finals, World Cup playoffs, Bundesliga championships and etc). Thomas Muller has been one of the mostly touted German players in recent years, as he has helped Bayern Munich win pretty much everything in the last couple of seasons. The expectations toward him are tremendous, as entire Germany looks at him to carry the German team to another World Cup. Thomas Muller will be the best German player to play in the 2014 World Cup.

9. Thiago Silva
Recently he has been one of the stars not only for Selecao but also for his club team PSG, Without a doubt Brazil will make a run for the 2014 World Cup and will try to restore order in the football world by winning its sixth cup. However in order for that to happen, the Brazilians will be relying on a hand full of players and Thiago Silva is one of them. Thiago Silva will be a crucial piece of the Brazilian team during the 2014 World Cup. He has a chance to become one of the leaders of the Brazilian team, and cement this role in one of the best national teams in the world.

8. Andres Iniesta
He is the only Spaniard to make the top 10 list, and the entire country of Spain will be looking at him to lead them to an unprecedented second World Cup in a row. Even though Andres Iniesta is a bit older than the rest of the players on this list, he is still one of the best players in football today. There is no doubt that Spain will have trouble in Brazil, as they are a bit older and the competition has become much stronger. However if Spain was to make a run at the cup it will have to go through Andres Iniesta as he is currently the most valuable player of the Spanish national team. Would age be a factor, or Iniesta will show the football world that age does not matter when we talk about the best football players in the world.

7. Mesut Ozil
The German national has been having a great season with Arsenal, and his talent might bring Arsenal the first Premier League title in a long time. Another key German player makes the list, at number seven as the best players in the 2014 World Cup we have Mesut Ozil. He is the reason Arsenal is back to relevancy, and he has a great chance of making history with the German national team in Brazil. In order for that to happen he will need to be placed at his favorite position, then all doors for Germany are open to make a deep run into the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He is the wild factor for the Germans, and as long as he is healthy and plays well there is no reason why the Germans should not be considered one of the favorites to win the World Cup.

6. Franck Ribery
It is not a coincidence that he has been considered by many to be the favorite to win the Golden Ball which is the top achievement on a player level in football. At number six we have yet another Bayern Munich player, Franck Ribery has been arguably in the top three best players in the past 2 years. The reason why Ribery is placed at number six on this list is because France is not a great team anymore and he will have hard time showing his best when the rest of the team is simply not at his level. However we have seen the French to make surprising runs in past World Cups, and if they are to do this again, it will be solely because of Franck Ribery's talent.

5. Luis Suarez
If the Uruguayan national plays at this level during the 2014 World Cup, Uruguay has a chance to make it again to the top four in the upcoming World Cup. Luis Suarez has been playing great as of late for his club Liverpool, and has finally shown what he is really capable of. Suarez has something that not many players in the world have, the ability to score from every angle at all times during a football game. He will be the "X Factor" for Uruguay as the hopes of the entire nation lay on his shoulders.

4. Radamel Falcao
Radamel Falcao is one of the future stars in world football and his time has come to shine in the World Cup stage. Just like Luis Suarez is a key player for Uruguay, Radamel Falacao plays a similar role for his native country: Columbia. The Colombian team is more talented than ever and everyone is excited to see what they will be able to produce during the World Cup in Brazil. Ramadel Falcao is a top notch football player and his ability to score is second to none. Columbia is extremely lucky to have such a great player in their national team, and maybe this is the year the Colombians will make a deep run at the cup with Radamel Falcao being the key for their success.

3. Lionel Messi
We have seen this play out last time during the World Cup when Argentina was not able to make it even to the semi-finals, and that is because Messi simply doesn't have the needed support just like he has in Barcelona. At Barcelona, he has Iniesta and Xavi (both top play-makers) and it is evident that he struggles every time he puts on the Argentinian jersey. Lionel Messi doesn't need introduction and everyone knows about his talents on the football field. However he finds himself in a similar situation as Ribery, as the national team of Argentina doesn't have nearly the talent that Messi has. This is the time for Messi to shine, and become legendary however it is highly doubtful that he will ever reach that status, as there is one untouchable football icon in Argentina and that is Diego Maradona.

2. Neymar
Together with Thiago Silva, they both have a chance to reach iconic status in matter of month a half. All they have to do is win the World Cup, and this is entirely possible as Neymar offers Brazil something special. The Brazilian star Neymar comes in as the number two player best player to play in the 2014 World Cup. Neymar has been progressively getting better at his club Barcelona, and he is due to explode for the Brazilian team in the World Cup. He will be a key player for Selecao if they are to win the World Cup. Its about time Neymar steps up and prove that he is a top three football talent in the world right now.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo
His national team struggles as well, however after the last two playoff games against Sweden, all doubt is gone that Ronaldo will be able to carry Portugal to new heights. He is literally a one man show, and this seems to be working perfectly for the Portuguese national team, as everyone is relying on CR7 to deliver a series of memorable performances in the upcoming 2014 World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo comes at number one and that should not be a surprise to anyone, as he is currently the best player in the world. He will score at least 4 goals during the tournament, which will help the young Portuguese team to shine in Brazil. He has always said that he is the best player in the world, and this will be a great time for him to show everyone that as a matter of fact he is, and put all the doubters to sleep. As long as he is healthy there is no reason why he will not be able to make Portugal a key player in the 2014 World Cup.
